Forge House Care are now recruiting Support Workers to join our supported living team.

Established in 1998, we have a 6-bed residential home, based in Walderslade, and a supported living service spanning Maidstone, Medway, and Gravesend. We provide accommodation and support to adults with learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours that challenge.

Due to company expansion, we are looking to recruit positive, friendly people that are passionate about encouraging independence and achieving positive outcomes for our residents.

HOURS

This is a permanent role, offering 42 hours per week on a 2 days on/2 days off basis, with monthly pay.

DUTIES

Our Support Workers work within teams to support our service users with their daily living and life skills. This could include:

  • Helping our service users to effectively budget their money
  • Assisting service users with meal preparation, cooking, and adhering to their nutrition and dietary plan
  • Positively encouraging our service users to make their own choices and empower them to pursue their hobbies and interests
  • Assisting our service users with their personal care routine. This could include washing, bathing, dressing, oral care, toileting etc.
  • Escorting service users on day trips and engaging in activities e.g. swimming, walking, cycling etc.
  • Supporting service users physical and mental welfare
  • Accurate report writing and recording
  • Promoting our company values within your working day

REQUIREMENTS

  • A full UK driving licence is preferred as staff may be required to drive company vehicles during work
  • Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities or behaviours that challenge would be advantageous, but not essential
