Forge House Care are a supported living provider for adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health disorders and challenging behaviour.

Established in 1997, we have a 6-bed residential home and a supported living service covering Maidstone, Medway, and Gravesend.

Due to company expansion, we are looking for full-time Support Workers to support our client who lives in Maidstone.

HOURS

This is a permanent role offering 42 hours per week on a 2 days on/2 days off rolling rota.

DUTIES

  • Helping our service users to effectively budget their money
  • Assisting service users with meal preparation, cooking, and adhering to their nutrition and dietary plan
  • Positively encouraging our service users to make their own choices and empower them to pursue hobbies and interests
  • Assisting our service users with their personal care routine (this could include washing, bathing, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene)
  • Escorting service users on day trips and engaging in physical activities e.g., swimming, cycling, walking etc.
  • Supporting service users physical and mental welfare
  • Accurate report writing and recording
  • Promote our company values within your working day

Essential Criteria

  • A full UK Driving Licence is preferred
  • An enhanced DBS check will be sought upon conditional offer of employment
  • It is essential that the successful applicant supports the service user in participation of activities e.g. swimming, long walks etc.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A full UK driving licence is preferred, but not essential
  • Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities or behaviours that challenge would be advantageous, but not essential
